Trompe l’oeil, a trick of the eye. How often do we see something then have to look again really concentrate to make sense of it? This traditional weave design makes you do just that.
Often we need to step back from our thoughts to make a bit more sense of them. I find that writing everything down in a note book helps me immensely. It’s good to come back to ideas and see how they stand up. A lot of my designs come from unusual colour combinations or strange shapes that I spot when I am out and about. I’m not always sure when I will use them but having them waiting is always a comfort.
