Winter draws on!
So I've been getting used to my new business name. It will take time to get all of the instructions changed over so sometimes the instructions will have the old Tina Francis Tapestry name on especially the larger kits.
Over the last few weeks I have been at two large shows. Knitting and Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace and Creative Craft Show in Glasgow. i think the most over whelming feeling from everyone was that it is great to be back. I saw people who I had not seen since the last shows two years ago, traders and customers alike. It was really humbling to realise that people had been thinking about me and my small business and hoping I was doing okay. It's easy to think that people are online and looking at my day to day adventures but I realised that for many seeing me at shows is their way of keeping in touch.
I'm at Creative Craft Show in Birmingham next week and I am so looking forward to meeting up with people again. This is my local show and so it is my turn to be able to sleep in my own bed each night rather than in a hotel. Mind you staying in hotels is no hardship for me!! Big shout out to Holiday Inn Express, Theatreland, Glasgow who managed to create a home from home but still provide top class service. I would definitely recommend this place. I'd also recommend Travelodge in Wood Green, I had the best welcome! Everyone that worked there was so kind and cheerful! So for the Birmingham show maybe I need to try and "treat my house like a hotel"!
I am in love with my new designs but have fallen head over heels for my Pincushion Popcorn range! This range was introduced last year and I have been adding to it. The kits are small enough to be completed by a beginner and intricate enough for seasoned stitchers. Kits use a variety of different stitches, tapestry, bargello, long stitch and scotch stitch. They really do provide a powerful punch of popping colour! Just what is needed at this time of year as the colours start to fade!
Until next time!! Happy Stitching!
