A travelling fair has always captivated me, the faded grandeur of the carousel most of all.
I love the beautiful lettering, the golds and jewel like colours that you catch a glimpse of as you go round majestically on a horse.
As the sun sets the colours seem to get even more intense and the thrill of riding at night under the
multi coloured lights is always a draw for me.
The yarns in this kit have that jewel like quality and full of their own memories too. They are created by indie dyer Tu Meke Yarn who is originally from New Zealand. The colours are inspired by their favourite places.
The nature of hand dyed yarn is that the colours are not always meant to be block colours like we have in needlework. So this kit when stitched will be unique not only because you have stitched it but because the wool shading adds it’s own originality.
The kit includes
White picture frame to hang your work straight away, Indie Dyed yarn (wool), John James needle, Zweigart interlock canvas, full instructions big and bold.
The frame is approx 23cm square, the stitching approx 13cm square.
