The word Brum for Birmingham is a love or hate thing. My grandad said there was no such place it was Brummagem he was from.
I like both words for my home town.
The font used in this kit is Baskerville, invented right here in Birmingham by John Baskerville. It’s a font of change that enabled books to be clearer and easier to read. Baskerville house is built in the space that the Baskervilles used to live. There’s an example of the font outside the building in a sculpture called Industry and Genius by Davud Patten.
Now I’ve been told that Sarah Baskerville was the brains behind this font so expect another version soon!!
I hope you enjoy stitching this kit as much as I love Brum it includes:-
10 count plastic canvas, John James needle, Anchor yarn (100% wool), instructions.
Your Brum will measure approx 15cmsquare and can be framed any way you choose
